Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 worse than Vol.1

It is prove by James Gunn that it’s impossible to catch lightning in a bottle twice. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is not as good as the previous movie, but still, we have a lot of fun and heart with it.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 takes the time a few months after the events in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 with the reputation of the Guardian spread across the universe. Working as hero for hire, they’re on their job with for the hilariously conceited Sovereign. Things quickly go awry when Rocket steals some of the items the Guardians were supposed to be protecting, and the team goes to the top of the Sovereign’s to-kill list.

The movie full of thrill from the wanted of the Sovereign and the team of Ravagers they hired, but the central of the movie is Peter Quill meeting his father at long last. The real question is whether Peter meeting his genetic father fills the hole his absence had left in Star-Lord’s life, and whether or not that hole had already been filled by people like Yondu, Gamora and the rest of the Guardians.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2

Family seems to be a main theme in this movie and serves as its unifying plot thread. If the first Guardians of the Galaxy was about bringing the team together, this one is about testing that bond. Their bond has been test from the beginning since Rocket steal from the Sovereign to the fight between Sovereign and Rocket, when they split up to do different tasks or they join together for the final fight again Ego – Peter’s dad.

What makes Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 worse than Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 is that it tries too hard to lean into what people loved and responded to in the first film. James Gunn plays into the strengths of his characters, but goes a bit too far with some of them; overusing certain gimmicks makes some of the moments lose their punch. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 movie lacks a lot of the effortless charisma of the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 movie online because it’s trying hard to meet and surpass lofty expectations. However, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 does have its unique: tons of Easter Eggs hidden in the movie that make audiences want more, beautiful Guardians of the Galaxy  soundtrack Gunn write for the Awesome Mix Vol. 2 impactful just like its predecessor. Let’s enjoy the sountrack here:

We still meet again the Guardians, but this time they are not alone. They will be part of a big team of heroes fighting against one of the mightiest villain ever – Thanos – in Avengers Infinty War. Gunn addresses common criticisms about one-note villains and a lack of stakes in this film. He isn’t afraid to have this adventure cost his characters. And while the main villain’s ultimate plan is universal domination, the culmination and aftermath of that story feels like it’s something these characters could still be talking about and dealing with in movies to come, unlike Ronan and many other throwaway MCU baddies.

To sum up, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 full movie is not as beautiful to look at as the first movie, but with its bright, almost psychedelic aesthetic getting some more ‘70s influences this time around it’s still a great movie. Still, we are looking for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 get rid of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1’s shadow, and bright its own light.
